Carla Benzing is a german curator and artist currently based in London.

Since 2018 she is Co-Director of the experimental gallery space BLANK100, focusing on supporting emerging artists.

Fascinated by humans relationship is developing towards new technologies, she recently focused her own practice and research on the artistic politics of the drone. By constantly travelling the world, she finds inspiration in different people and cultures. Her work is defined by the central and recurrent subject of the observation of humans and their features, both individuals and society at large, with a focus on her own generation. Her work process includes spontaneous documentation, collection and curation of subjects she comes across, as well as conceptual design and staging of her own visions. The result of this intuitive mode of creation shall embrace the present and illustrate a perspective on how we live, what we expect and how we present ourselves.
